Medha Gudavalli, Outreach & Policy Associate
Medha joined CCASA in September 2017. In the summer of 2015, she was a Policy Intern for CCASA, obtaining a $4,000 grant to study the response to sexual assault in various Colorado judicial districts. During her time as a student at Duke University, Medha volunteered with Project H.E.A.L. (Health Education and Awareness in Latin America), where she worked with Latina domestic violence survivors, using health education and awareness to empower individuals. As President of Project H.E.A.L., Medha coordinated local and international service and research projects, training members in women’s health fluency, and ethical conduct, among other things. Prior to joining CCASA, she worked as a Research Assistant for a Parkinson’s Disease bio-marker study at Johns Hopkins; and on a project evaluating gender differences in clinical outcomes for Parkinson’s patients. Medha holds a BA in Public Policy from Duke University, completing her thesis on University Sexual Misconduct Adjudications.
