Men Standing Up
Many of CCASA's member programs are pioneering effective programs that engage men as leaders in sexual violence prevention. One of these is the Men Standing Up (MSU) program through Moving to End Sexual Assaults (MESA) in Boulder. Check out MSU's blog, Taking Action Against Sexual Assault.
The MSU program consists of a group of men who are committed to ending sexual violence. Through the program, volunteer male educators conduct presentations on the topic of preventing sexual assault, sexual harassment, and dating abuse. The men also do a variety of outreach activities in the community and help with fundraising events for the agency. MESA developed the program in 2003 in order to expand its primary sexual assault prevention efforts.
