On Wednesday, January 14th 2015, the Center will host a full day workshop on David Mandel and Associates’ Safe and Together Model of child welfare interventions in cases of domestic violence. The conference titled, “The Safe and Together Model: A Perpetrator Pattern, Child Centered, Survivor Strength-Based Approach to the Intersection of Domestic Violence and Child Maltreatment” will take place in the Terrace Room at the University of Colorado Denver’s Lawrence Street Center in downtown Denver.
This training will provide an exploration of the concepts and skills associated with successfully intervening with domestic violence perpetrators and partnering with domestic violence survivors around the safety and wellbeing of children. It will also encourage cross-system collaboration to address domestic violence and child maltreatment.
