As a result of the statewide needs assessment conducted by the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), emergency funds for victims of crime was identified as a Special Project for the use of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds. DCJ’s Office for Victims Programs (OVP) is working collaboratively with the Colorado Organization for Victims Assistance (COVA) and other stakeholders to address this need through the establishment of the Emergency Fund Program.
