Polaris Project of Colorado
The Polaris Project of Colorado is hosting a Training Institute on Human Trafficking and the Commercial Exploitation of Children (CSEC) on August 15, 2008. The CSEC Community Intervention Project (CCIP) is a federally-funded program from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). The program focuses on building the capacity of five selected communities (San Diego, CA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Atlantic City, NJ; and Washington, DC) to respond to CSEC through trainings and the development of a CSEC Community Response Plan. The CCIP program is operated through a collaboration of four leading agencies working on the issue of CSEC, inlcuding The Salvation Army, GEMS, Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition, and Polaris Project.
