CCASA works closely with various state coalitions representing victim's and women's issues, our membership, survivors and the people who serve them to develop a legislative agenda for Colorado. CCASA employs the lobbying firm Mendez and Associates to assist with the monitoring of legislative developments.
We provide information and alerts to our membership on pending legislative changes to ensure our network has a strong voice at the state level.

You can find out who your local, state, and national representatives are by going to Project Vote Smart at www.vote-smart.org. You can learn a lot about your Representatives at this site, and even see a full color picture of them. You can also call your County Clerk/Election Division to find out who your Representatives are.
This website answers frequently asked legal questions and you can access the Coloardo Statewide Directory of Legal Services and Pro Bono Programs which is an excellent resource.

In the legislature section, you can get current and prior session information, including copies and status of bills. Here you can also have access to the Colorado Revised Statutes, and search by keyword to find a law.
Colorado Women's Agenda is a statewide network of women and women's organizations that champions social justice, political power and economic security for all women in Colorado. At this site you can join discussion boards and WeCan! (The Women's Electronic Communications and Action Network). You can view other legislation that concerns women in Colorado, and see a "scorecard" on your Representatives.

This website provides instant access to a database on candidates and issues along with presidential candidate speeches (searchable by keyword and phrase), publications (full text), youth inclusion program (where you can match your issue responses with those of the candidates) and links to all the best sites on the Internet with government and political information. You can even register to vote or find out who your candidates are by putting in your zip code.
The RAINN website gives current information about national legislation.
This website focuses on national legislation that impacts both sexual assault and domestic violence. They have a listserve that you can join to receive legislative and information updates.
