Jena Joiner

Jena joined CCASA in September 2023. She is a graduate student at Josef Korbel School of International Studies and the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver. She is pursuing a dual degree in Master of Public Policy and Master of Social Work to pursue a career in policy and research work informed by social work competencies and values. Jena previously attended George Fox University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree concentrating in social work, sociology, and international studies. At George Fox University, Jena discovered her passion for social justice in working with marginalized communities, specifically the intersections of women’s rights with other areas of inequity. Jena will assist CCASA with various research and policy analysis projects and is highly grateful for the opportunity to join the CCASA team.
