Jennifer Hankel, CFCEP Research Assistant

Jenni joined CCASA in November 2017 as the Research Assistant for the Colorado Forensic Compliance Evaluation Project. Her dedication to social impact was sparked conducting community outreach in Tamil Nadu, India and later as a development intern for a nonprofit serving women exiting the sex trade in West Bengal, India. As a graduate student, Jenni served as an intern at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs developing training tutorials for United Nations staff. Additionally, she worked as the Associate Director of Research for the Human Trafficking Center at Denver University where she trained graduate researchers and supported the development of a global Human Trafficking Index. For the past four years, she has collaborated with University of Wyoming researchers to collect and publish data on the experiences of street-involved women exploring trauma and the influence of dominant cultural norms. Currently, Jenni is an Impact and Learning Analyst at Mile High United Way where she leads program evaluation and strategic intention capacity building for partner organizations. She graduated with an MA in International Human Rights from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver.
