CCASA’s 40th Anniversary Announcement

2024 marks CCASA’s 40th anniversary!

We have accomplished so much over the past forty years with the help of you: our members, supporters, and partners. Throughout the year, we will highlight some of the changes we have made together – so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

We are also planning some special things this year, which we will share soon. You can make sure you don’t miss out by signing up for our e-newsletter here.

We continue to grow in our work and impact, and for the first time, CCASA is working on two potential ballot measures! We are currently working with state legislators and other partners to refer two issues to the public to vote on this November: 1) SCR24-001 to remove barriers for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to hold institutions and individuals accountable for knowingly or negligently allowing the abuse to occur, and 2) HB24-1349 to create a sustainable source of funding for victim services in Colorado.

We are very excited about the changes these initiatives could make for survivors, and we need your help to make it happen.

  • Make a one-time donation to help us have the resources needed to undertake all the work that goes into a successful ballot measure campaign.
  • Join CCASA’s CommuniTree of supporters by making a monthly or annual donation that ensures we have the resources needed to support our work throughout the year.
  • Help spread the word about these issues by sharing our social media and email communications.
  • Email Onnastasia@ccasa.org to explore other ways to support these efforts, such as writing a Letter to the Editor for your local newspaper, joining our Survivor Task Force, sharing your story with lawmakers or the media, or other ideas you may have.

As CCASA looks to the future, we are engaging in strategic planning this year to best live into our mission, vision, and values in the years ahead.

I am honored to have been a part of the incredible work CCASA and our community has accomplished over the past nine years. I look forward to continuing our work together to move closer to making our vision a reality.
