CHISMEANDO CON LAS COMADRES! Webinar series
“I like their talent, but MMM… I don’t know? Could we talk about it?”
Celebrating popular talent in music and performance is a fundamental part of our cultural practices, giving us a sense of connection and belonging to our roots. But what happens when the singer or actor of our choice has been identified as an offender of sexual or domestic violence? Or when the content of his productions promotes some form of violence? How can we find a balance between continuing to enjoy their talent and being loyal to the survivors and the movement against violence?

The group shares resources, training opportunities, and troubleshoots issues. Meetings are held each month on the 4th Tuesday from 2:00-3:30pm. For Zoom information and/or to be added to the listserv, contact Sierra Agens, sierra@ccasa.org, or Jordan Rhodes, jordan@ccasa.org.
