Advanced Topics: Comprehensive Safety Planning with Project Safeguard and the Colorado Address Confidentiality Program
Wednesday, July 31st from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm Mountain Time
Presented By: Nikki Hernandez, ACP Outreach Coordinator, Colorado Address Confidentiality Program and Shae Davis, PSG Legal Advocate, Project Safeguard
In this exciting collaboration between Project Safeguard and the Colorado ACP, the presenters will share their approaches to safety planning within their respective agencies. Topics will include: tips for helping survivors create a safe space for themselves, including breaking a lease prematurely under HB17-1035; and specific facets of the ACP that can enhance a participant’s confidentiality, such as the use of a Safe Label Name, requesting protections from private companies, and the ACP Voter process. There will be adequate time for discussion, so attendees are encouraged to come with specific questions.
