This free workshop is an introduction to using herbs to support emotional healing from trauma. We will focus on three broad categories of plant actions:
Herbs for the nervous system- Including nervines to relax muscular tension and anxiety, stop cyclic thought patterns, and promote a rhythmic sleep cycle.
Herbs to support the liver- Including herbs to clear liver stagnation, aid in the break down and excretion of stress hormones, and improve digestion and appetite.
Herbs for the spiritual heart- Including herbs that can be grounding, can promote a calm and present mindset, and can assist a person in setting and maintaining boundaries.
This will be a hands-on class with opportunities to taste teas/tinctures and make sample herbal blends to take home.
This class is geared toward survivors of emotional trauma, but non-survivors are also welcome. As teachers we are not experts; rather facilitators in a larger community of healing. If possible, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503-3041626 so that we can plan…but don’t let that stop you from coming! Please send me a message if on-site childcare would be helpful and we’ll work to arrange some.
