Freedom from Sexual Violence

Event: Observing VAWA/HUD requirements in your shelters

CO AntiViolence Program

Within the last year, both VAWA and HUD have issued new regulations specifically regarding gender identity, creating new requirements for programs receiving HUD/VAWA funding. These new grant conditions/regulations issue guidance on gender inclusion within funded programs. Join the Colorado Anti-Violence Program for a free regional training highlighting best practices for gender inclusion within domestic violence and homeless shelters in Colorado. Topics will include:

  • Learn about current VAWA and HUD grant conditions/requirements that impact your programs
  • Leave with a personalized plan for your agency regarding these new requirements regarding gender identity within shelter settings
  • Hear from Executive Directors from Colorado shelters currently with ‘all gender’ policies sharing their successes and challenges

Time: 10a-4pm, bring your lunch

Location: Denver, we are finalizing a location for this event
