Due to high interest in this group from teens and their parents, MESA and Wild at Heart are offering a teen-specific equine therapy program for survivors.
MESA and Wild at Heart are collaborating to partner individuals with a history of sexual trauma with horses. The extraordinary sensitivity of horses, their unique and powerful response to women and capacity to facilitate healing will be experienced. This unique partnership will inspire and challenge the work of women in recovery to regain mastery and confidence in their own lives. This group meets in a beautiful spacious setting where our sense perceptions and bodies are engaged and active.
The group will be led by Jackie Ashley, MA, LPC, BC-DMT. Jackie is a Somatic psychotherapist, a registered Dance Movement Therapist, is certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and is a practitioner of a Somatic Experiencing. Through the use of movement, body awareness,
contemplative practices and the creative process, she helps her clients and students to further integrate their emotional and physical experience.
This group will start once we have enough teens signed up.
