Description:
A day long workshop for therapists seeking to refine their group leadership or co-leadership skill set. We will be covering skills for and development of therapists to move from fundamental approaches to creative interventions in the group setting. A mixture of lecture, role-plays and discussion will be used to present this material in an exciting and engaging manner.
Course Objectives / Outcomes:
- Have a working model for your evolution as a group leader from consciously incompetent to unconsciously competent
- Be able to articulate fundamental views of group dynamics and interventions that support movement in group and individual members
- Have working model for creative interventions for group movement
- Be able to respond to frequently challenging types of group moments or member character types
