2024 Annual Sexual Assault Advocate Training Institute (SAATI)

Series Description
Our 6th Annual Sexual Assault Advocate Training Institute (SAATI) provides **26 of the 30 training hours necessary to meet statutory requirements for advocate privilege. SAATI will be offered virtually – live Zoom sessions and online coursework with two days of in person meeting sessions.

The Sexual Assault Advocate Training Institute (SAATI) is designed for staff at community and campus based sexual and domestic violence advocacy programs. It is also appropriate for staff at law enforcement and district attorney’s victim assistance programs.

SAATI will increase participants’ knowledge and skills to support survivors of sexual violence as well as provide participants with information and tools to bring back to their agency to train other staff and volunteers. SAATI covers core topics, including sexual assault dynamics and effects, culturally responsive crisis intervention and advocacy, medical options, criminal and civil/legal options, and more!

**We recommend the remaining 4 hours include agency and community specific information, such as agency policies and procedures, community resources, coordinated community response, etc.

Non-Members: $200

• Everyone will be added to the waitlist upon registration. We will move you to the confirmed list as we verify membership.
• Priority will be given to CCASA members. If a member agency has more than one staff person interested, please contact Elaine elaine@ccasa.org. 
• Status will be communicated with each registrant.
• Non-members will not be invoiced until you are moved to the confirmed list.

Additional details: 

• The content and objectives for this training are the same as our online SAATI training. The difference is this training will be LIVE through virtual Zoom sessions and online coursework.
• We can only guarantee accommodations for registrations submitted before August 23, 2024. Any request made after August 23, 2024 cannot be guaranteed but every effort will be made to accommodate those requests.
• Registration is required for each event in the series in order to receive meeting information .
• Schedule will be starting on September 4th through September 19th on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one Thursday (9/19)  from 9 am to 3 pm, although end times may vary daily. A detailed schedule will be shared after you are moved to the confirmed list.

The last two days of training (September 18th and 19th) will be in person.  Location details will be provided upon confirmed registration.
