Trauma Informed Supervision

Description: Working in sexual assault and domestic violence agencies exposes advocates to trauma on multiple levels—personal, social, and professional. This constant exposure puts them at high risk for secondary traumatic stress and, for some, the workplace can even trigger re-traumatization, impacting their effectiveness.

Advocates are dedicated to helping survivors, often at the expense of their own well-being. The cumulative stress from their work can affect their performance and overall health. That’s why it’s crucial for supervisors to understand and manage these stresses proactively.

Our upcoming webinar will equip supervisors with the tools and knowledge to support their teams through trauma exposure. Learn how to incorporate trauma-informed practices into your leadership and supervision to ensure a healthier, more effective workplace.
