The Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MECASA) is seeking a team member to join our creative, supportive, and energetic office. The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) Network Coordinator is charged with managing the nationally accredited Maine Network of CACs; achieving its mission of improving services statewide for victims of child sexual abuse and exploitation; improving the statewide infrastructure to best respond to child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation; and supporting local providers as leaders in these efforts. The ideal team member understands or has worked with violence intervention or on complex social issues, is comfortable working with a wide range of partners, is enthusiastic about developing and delivering tools and training to and with local providers, and appreciates a high-paced work environment. MECASA represents and serves Maine’s local sexual assault service providers and children’s advocacy centers, and provides training, technical assistance, and support to a wide range of sexual violence-related partners and community members. Our efforts include initiating and advocating for victim-centered public policy; providing expert training, technical assistance, and resources for providers and partners; and funding sexual assault service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of sexual victimization
- Experience providing direct human services or supporting those who do
- Proven training and facilitation skills with multi‐disciplinary groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently, and to show initiative and creativity
- Comfort with and ability to multi‐task
- Adaptability and love of learning
- Desire to be an active participant in an energetic team
- Familiarity with forensic interviewing and the CAC model preferred
ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountable to the Director of Program Planning and Performance
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Our organization is committed to work/life balance and supporting the individuals with whom we work. The position’s starting salary range is $55,000 – $60,000 depending on relevant experience, skills, and expertise. The full salary range for program coordinators at MECASA is $55,000 -$67,000. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, based on 40 hours per week. However, the number of hours a week is negotiable. We offer paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and retirement package in keeping with industry norms, as well as a flexible schedule. Individual health insurance premiums are currently paid 100% by MECASA. We offer generous paid family medical leave.
