Supporting Secondary Survivors of Sexual Assault
Sexual assault is a community issue that demands a community response. This means we rely on one another to provide support for survivors in a way that promotes healing and access to necessary resources. It’s no surprise that sexual assault is a traumatic experience for survivors, but did you know that supporters and loved ones of a survivor commonly experience trauma symptoms too, and are often at a loss as to how to best support their loved one? This webinar provides practical tools for helping loved ones understand the impact of sexual assault and learn ways to best support a survivor in their life while also managing their own self-care and secondary trauma.
