The federal government enacted the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021” (ARPA), Pub.L. 117-2, to support state, local, and tribal governments in responding to the impact of the COVID-19 public health emergency and to assist them in their efforts to contain the effects of the COVID-19 public health emergency on their communities, residents, and businesses. The State of Colorado Legislature, in directing funds from SB21-292 to victim services uses, has further acknowledged that the negative economic impacts and personal safety insecurity faced by survivors of interpersonal violence have been compounded by the COVID-19 global pandemic. In administering the SB21-292 funds, one of the project goals is to provide flexible financial assistance funds for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. A subcommittee of DVP’s Advisory Committee has been participating in planning conversations regarding this upcoming Flex Funds Project. While the plans are not yet finalized, DVP is excited to share an update on the progress and direction of this project and to respond to questions that folks may have.

DVP has begun an FAQ document to catalog questions asked and answered regarding the project. If you have additional questions related to eligibility, program requirements, allowable and unallowable costs, reporting and evaluation requirements, etc., please submit this form: https://form.jotform.com/212497790877979.

Join DVP to learn more about this project during an interactive Q&A session.
